To cook food in an oven

Beat

To stir ingredients together in a fast, circular motion
Blend To mix ingredients gently together (usually with a spoon or blender)

Boil

To heat a liquid so it bubbles

Brown

To cook something until the color is brown

Chop

To cut something into small pieces

Drain

To remove all the liquid from a food
Shred To scrape food against a grater making thin pieces

Grease

To lightly coat with oil or butter, so food does not stick

Knead

To press and fold dough
Marinate To soak food in a liquid (used for flavor)

Mix

To stir ingredients together
